What is Zoom!®?
Zoom!® is a professional tooth whitening system that works with a hydrogen peroxide patented lightening gel and laser light to lighten your teeth. Done chairside it can lighten teeth that have not been previously restored and teeth that have not been damaged internally.
How Does Zoom!® Work?
Zoom!® allows the oxygen from the gel to penetrate the enamel and dentin in your teeth while whitening the discoloration leaving the teeth intact, you may or may not experience sensitivity from the treatment which usually lasts about an hour.
Results
Although Dr. Gilmor will tell you that results vary, your teeth can be lightened up to 10 shades and can last for quite some time as long as you avoid substances that can stain your teeth such as red wine, tea and coffee. Some foods, such as spaghetti and curry sauce may want to be avoided as well to avoid staining. Dr. Gilmor may recommend custom-made whitening trays to maintain your results. Zoom!® is not recommended more than once every 12 months.
